About HGI Nepal

Adventure and sustainability in the Himalayas

HGI NEPAL came into existence in 1985, formed by two passionate mountaineers who were great admirers of the Himalayas.

Our story

From a dream of connecting people with nature

HGI NEPAL was established way back in 1985 by Late Shambu Tamang and Late Ringi Sherpa. The vision of getting people close to nature turned out to be an esteemed adventure trekking company today.

We have gained reputation for being responsible in our trekking, mountaineering, and ecotourism. Our guides are highly trained, licensed by the government, environment friendly, and mostly come from the Sherpa community.

We conduct treks in the Annapurna and Everest regions and mountaineering expeditions on the Himalayan peaks today, allowing adventure lovers from all corners of the globe to visit the Himalayas.
