Having entered the tourism industry in 1988, Ringi Sherpa initially worked as a manager for In Wilderness Trekking from 1988 to 1997, where he developed a deep understanding of Nepal’s trekking and expedition landscape. From 1997 to 2008, he served as the Managing Director of Sea to Summit Trekking, gaining extensive managerial and operational expertise. With a Master’s degree in Commerce, his academic background complements his practical experience in tourism management. Moreover, his work as a Peace Corps volunteer with an international NGO highlights his commitment to community development, education, and sustainable tourism practices—principles that remain at the heart of HGI Nepal’s operations.
